Our work depends on a Cyber Security Analyst joining our team to support GDIT.

At GDIT, our people are at the center of everything we do. As a Cyber Security Analyst supporting GDIT, you will be trusted to work with the cyber security architecture and engineering team. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Assist senior members of the team in evaluating security architectures and developing strategic roadmaps

• Partner with the Vulnerability Management Team to ensure they have the tools necessary for success in remediating vulnerabilities and policy compliance issues within the environment

• Conducts software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated

• Conducts comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems

• Evaluates information system security throughout the project and development life cycle

• Partner with the SOC in the deployment and maintenance of endpoint detection, log collection, and email security tools that are necessary for threat analysis and risk mitigation

• Look to automate tasks where possible utilizing PowerShell, API, or other scripting technologies

• Tests, implements, deploys, maintains, and administers the infrastructure hardware and software

• Assist team members in conducting risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design

• Assist in the implementation of systems, applications, and solutions for internal enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks

• Stay up to date on vendor roadmaps, research new features and capabilities for existing tools, and assist in POVs for products

• Perform other tasks as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education/Experience: Bachelors degree with 1+ years of related experience.

• Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with CUI data management. Working knowledge of Risk Management and Information Assurance principals.

• Preferred Skills and Abilities: Security + or other cyber certification preferred

• Location: Hybrid to our Falls Church, Virginia office

• Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $76,690 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
