The Cybersecurity Technical Content Manager is key to creating content that effectively communicates complex cybersecurity concepts, messages and conclusions to internal and external audiences. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, the Cybersecurity Technical Content Manager will collaborate with Optiv’s cybersecurity SMEs and consult with technical staff to create compelling articles, technical guides, case studies, blogs, whitepapers, and presentations on the latest cybersecurity incidents, threats, trends and techniques.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Create and edit technical content in a timely manner
  • Track new industry information as it arises and keep existing Optiv technical content up to date
  • Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, special reports and any other documents/deliverables
  • Create and maintain a rolling editorial calendar to ensure effective content creation, proofreading and project deadline fulfillment
  • Evaluate and guide the tone, language and consistency of written documentation
  • Review and revise (when needed) the graphical layout of documents, presentations and other materials, ensuring all work products are on-brand and of the highest quality​

Qualifications for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or relevant technical area preferred
  • 5+ years of experience producing and editing technical content in a corporate environment
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Experience reviewing and revising documentation on cybersecurity best practices, policy, procedures, work-level instructions, design documents, and case studies 
  • Experience reviewing and revising technical content including documentation for/about networks, operating systems, software, and information security controls
  • Experience managing an editorial calendar and pitching ideas and stories
  • Able to work on tight deadlines and in patiently and skillfully moving a team of peers toward deadlines
  • Able to work independently with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality
  • Proficiency with Adobe Workfront and Adobe Acrobat also helpful

  • We’re looking for a technical content manager with a recent portfolio; please submit writing samples that have been published within the past two years for consideration. Older samples will be accepted only if accompanied by newer works.
