System Administrator 4

Manages the daily activities of configuration and operations of business systems that may be mainframe,mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs systemcapacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business system.

Capabilities

• Expert knowledge and experience in current Windows client server to include OS configuration, file sharing, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Experience with administration of various Linux operating systems (CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Provide desktop support across the Org and managed Enclaves
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization
• Coordinate, deliver, install, and maintain end user devices (EUDs) hardware and software.
• Implement ongoing system security compliance measures to include patches and system updates.
• Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience and its implementation using VMware vSphere (vCenter/ESXi) and Horizon View (VDI Desktops).
• Experience working in an Enclave environment
• Expert knowledge and experience managing NetApp (NFS, CFIS) and Dell EqualLogic (ISCSI).
• Work with ticketing systems

Required Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
• Must have one of the following DoD approved certifications to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DD 8570) requirement for this position:  Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED.
• High School/GED (+12) years of relevant experience.
• AD (+10) years of relevant experience.
• BA/BD (+6) years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree (+4) years of relevant experience, or PHD (+2) years of relevant experience. 

Desired Technical Skills

• Recent System Administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience working in an Enclave Environment
• Experience performing system analyzes and planning
• Intermediate experience with PowerShell scripting and programming.
• Experience providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support
• Solid Knowledge of and current experience with Azure and VDI
• Practical experience in implementing and maintaining thin-client workstations and virtualization (VDI Desktops).
• Practical experience in implementing and maintaining virtualization (VDI Desktops).
