Instructor, Network Security

SAIT is seeking an instructor for CPNT 223 - Network Security. Reporting to the Academic Chair, this position requires specific knowledge and teaching skills related to: ·        Securing a network·        Administrative access on Cisco routers·        Secure administrative access with AAA·        Network firewall technologies·        IPS configuration to mitigate risk·        LAN security·        Data confidentiality and integrity·        Secure virtual private networks·        Security policy implementation

The Role

• Create a positive learning environment.
• Ensure relevant content exists and grades are maintained in the learning management system (LMS)
• Ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Use available resources, tools, techniques, and strategies, to ensure student success.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Prepare lessons plans to ensure classroom success.
• Provide support, guidance, and advice to students.
• Demonstrate competencies in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem solving, emotional intelligence, and time management.
• Respond to student requests in a timely manner.
• Attend meetings as needed between 8am and 6pm

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in information technology
• Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred
• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• Relevant certification
