Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $106,700.00 - $177,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Recovery and Resiliency Lead Engineer, you will hold a paramount role in prioritizing cyber resilience within Cox Communications. Your primary focus will be to ensure the security and resilience of our digital assets and systems when facing potential disasters, cyberattacks, and unforeseen disruptions. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills will be instrumental in achieving this objective. Moreover, you will serve as a cross-functional liaison between different segments of the technology and business organizations, facilitating collaboration to enhance overall resilience. Also, you will be expected to undertake any other duties as assigned, contributing to our organization's overall effectiveness.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Champion the priority of cyber resilience throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of initiative-taking measures against cyber threats and disruptions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the organization's critical systems and data, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.

  • Lead the development and implementation of robust cyber resiliency strategies, emphasizing initiative-taking safeguards against cyberattacks, data breaches, and digital threats.

  • Stay vigilant and informed about the evolving threat landscape, keeping the organization prepared for emerging cyber threats and trends.

  • Develop and continuously update comprehensive disaster recovery plans that prioritize cyber resilience, aligning with business needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct risk evaluation with a focus on cyber threats to gauge their potential impact on the organization.

  • Placing cyber resilience as priority collaborate as needed with response teams related to cybersecurity incidents, natural disasters, and unforeseen disruptions.

  • Coordinate and lead disaster recovery and incident response tabletops and tests with an emphasis on evaluating recovery plans' effectiveness.

  • Collaborate closely with business units to identify critical business functions and establish recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) that align with cyber resilience and disaster recovery goals.

  • Utilize exceptional organizational and communication skills to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across various technology and business units.

  • Facilitate dialogue, ensuring a comprehensive approach to resilience by keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned.

  • Maintain meticulous records of disaster recovery and cyber resiliency activities, highlighting the integration of cyber resilience priorities into documentation.

  • Regularly prepare reports and presentations to communicate the status of disaster recovery and cyber resiliency efforts, emphasizing cyber resilience achievements to senior management.

  • Strong leadership skills but can take direction and participate in teams. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management.

  • Ability to start and persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation, sense of urgency, and ownership.

  • Highlight strong analytical and critical thinking skills, empowering you to assess complex situations and make critical decisions under pressure.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to assume any other duties assigned by the organization, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the team and the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline with 6 years of experience in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity); OR 18 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Direct experience in developing and implementing industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to cyber resiliency and disaster recovery.

  • Strong leadership skills but can take direction and participate in teams. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management and executive leadership

Preferred

  • Experience in Telecommunications/Cable industry desired.

  • Prefer at least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CCSP, ISO 270001 auditor/implementer certification, NCSP (NIST).

  • Professional Services experience.

  • Fortune 500 companies experience.
