The opportunity:

We’re looking for Technology Risk Assurance Managers with expertise to join our Assurance Technology risk team. Our IT Risk team delivers world-class information technology advice as part of our broader risk and business improvement services. We provide services such as financial audit IT integration, third party reporting, IT Risk audit, information management & analysis and information security. Risk management protects business performance and helps sustain results. It’s about achieving a clear understanding of risks and developing plans to manage them. As one of our risk professionals, you’ll work with multinational businesses and public sector organizations. You’ll help them develop an integrated, holistic approach to risk and benefit from their investments in internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with clients.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities with the goal of developing the business and growing the client base.
  • Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients including articulating the EY value proposition.
  • Provide high quality client service, working directly with our clients and audit teams to understand expectations, evaluate the current risk management environment, and design and implement solutions to identify, assess and respond to technology risks.
  • Managing Technology Risk Assurance engagements including overseeing the planning and execution of IT general and application control testing and evaluating the effectiveness of IT control environments.
  • Reviewing and presenting Technology Risk Assurance reports to audit teams and clients including articulating IT control deficiencies identified and possible remedial action.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep hands-on experience in IT Risk Assurance e.g., SOX / ICFR / IFC / SSAE, IT Financial Audit and Business Automated Controls or any other regulatory / compliance audits in a similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of IT Security aspects in areas like Cloud Computing, Cyber Risks, Network Security, database management systems, SDLC, IT general controls (ITGC), COBIT, COSO 2013.
  • Significant experience leading, planning, executing, and concluding Technology Risk Assurance engagements.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Collaborative approach to management.
  • Knowledge of quality and risk management.
  • Experience in business development including proposal preparation and presentation.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have;

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications.
  • Full certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO27001.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar or related role with specific experience in managing Technology Risk Assurance engagements.
