Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

As our Lab Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by

• Managing our laboratory that hosts multiple virtual machines which supports different versions of our software.
• Installing and setting up new virtual machines and snapshots as per business needs.
• Maintaining and upgrading virtual machines as per business needs.
• Installing third party software such as PACS software or peripheral drivers which our products integrates with.
• Obtaining third party software licenses such as PACS software or peripheral drivers.
• Activating, maintaining and renewing software licenses.
• Maintaining a wiki knowledge base on virtual machines, software installed on them, licenses in use, usage guidelines and peripherals that are integrated.
• Evaluating and recommending technology choices to proactively meet HID’s business strategy with a perspective towards future adaptation.
• Maintaining an ongoing awareness of industry standards and emerging technologies, and how these relate to existing or potential product or technical needs or opportunities
• Driving and supporting continuous improvement and other agile practices.
• Participate and contribute in planning events, workshops, and system demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Demonstratable strong expertise in managing and supporting infrastructure operations.
• Good presenting and communication skills, good judgment, analytical ability.
• Ability to work on complex tasks without technical guidance.
• Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software and networks.
• Experience in building and maintaining good working relationships with both external and internal parties.
• Experience working in Agile Development methodology (SAFe, Scrum, etc.).

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing Infrastructure.
• Experience working in an Agile Development methodology (SAFe, Scrum, etc.).

• You have expert knowledge of computer systems including clients, servers, operating systems, browsers, and networks.
• You are a team player and can provide third-tier support when needed.
• You diplomatically guide and consult with other engineering teams on critical design or performance issues.
• You work collaboratively with your teammates to modernize technologies and processes. Additional Work Requirements
• Must be willing to work from our office in Bengaluru, India.
• Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
• Candidate must agree to, and successfully pass a comprehensive background check to include:
o Financial review (credit worthiness).
o Civil review (public records, judgements, liens, etc.).
o Criminal background check.
o Drug screening, where applicable.
