What is the Role?

The role of the Security Architect is a highly experienced consultant who will be engaged from the initiation of transition and lead on architecture, service & security design, interfacing with implementation teams and acting as technical lead for our service. As technical lead you will be responsible for maintaining the baseline security posture, translating security metrics, threat intelligence and operational challenges/opportunities into actionable strategic security advice.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the customers security and service designs, linking the technology implementation to the service operation to ensure the successful delivery of the required security outcomes once in service.
  • Maintain close relationship with teams throughout the implementation functions.
  • Advise on the operational technical and service design.
  • Sign off of non-standard architectures maintained by the customer.
  • Technically lead customer workshops & meetings for the design & planning of implementations, and as required through normal BAU activity.
  • Be the technical lead on any Security remediation projects.
  • Act as design authority for technical solution designs, working with SME’s where required to complete technical designs, inline with the overall service design.
  • Work with customers to define their Threat Intel Profile for the generation of quarterly security intelligence briefings
  • Work with our customers own security team to create and maintain a Security Roadmap.
  • Work with the CyberSOC teams on continuous improvement areas within our customers estate.
  • Work with the Threat Content Development team to support the continued development of threat content to deliver on key security use cases
  • Provide technical account management services, alongside the customer success manager, to existing customers to continually evolve the customer service, experience and customer security journey.


Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software or Cyber Security
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working within the cyber security sector
  • Experience in a similar cyber security delivery role
  • Experience in design of complex security solutions for the delivery of security managed services
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively guide the successful implementation of security services
  • Experience with 1 or more of the following technologies:
    • Splunk/Splunk Cloud/Splunk Enterprise Security
    • Vectra
    • Rapid7
    • CrowdStrike
    • Digital Shadows
    • Qualys
  • Aptitude for solving problems and acting on own initiative
  • Effective communicator with a positive and confident attitude both written & verbally
  • A willingness to stay up to date regarding the latest technological advances
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to achieve Garda Vetting or equivalent
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to cope with the multifaceted nature of the job
