Your new role:

Provide the leadership, strategic vision and management of the DevSecOps support function, working closely with the other Technology teams to support the delivery of best-in-class technology-enabled healthcare services

Requirements

The key tasks in your new and exciting role with us:

• Provide overall technical leadership and direction to the DevSecOps team (framework, processes and ways of working)
• Work closely with other Heads of Technology to ensure the stability and reliability of development platforms, code and artifact management, whilst enabling third parties to deliver code and content into the DCA ecosystem
• Understand incoming business requirements, and translate them to the DevSecOps team to action
• Manage and coach a team of DevSecOps engineers to innovate and improve continuously, in a controlled manner

Hopefully a description of you and your experience:

• Extensive experience of working Cloud-based technologies (ideally Azure)
• Administrator-level certificate advantageous (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400)
• Knowledge of Git code management platforms, including best practices for pipelines
• Knowledge of the Azure DevOps platform, including best practices for pipelines
• Experience working with CI/CD tooling, and a strong understanding of the process
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
• Understanding of different branching & release strategies, and experience using tooling to enable this (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of authoring and management of Terraform
• Experience using code quality and security tooling (e.g., SonarCloud, Checkmarx, OWASP ZAP)
• Understanding of common programming languages, (e.g., C#, NodeJS, Go, Swift etc.) and how they interact with resources in a cloud environment
• Understanding of common automated testing solutions (e.g., JMeter, Serenity, Selenium , Appium), and implementing within the CI/CD process
• Strong interest in quality, technical excellence and results
• Able to prioritise and work on several projects at the same time
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships with peers and stakeholders
