Your new role

Here at Hitachi Rail, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join the team. As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for Cyber Security Engineering, Planning, and Delivery as well as supporting the CISO o analyse, prepare and deliver for a large-scale intergrations.

The ideal candidate will come from a Cyber Security Engineering background, with suitable experience and knowledge of large-scale projects and integrations.

Accountabilities

• Review all available intergration data
• Identify all Cyber Security deliverables
• Identify all Cyber Security gaps
• Create and maintain overall action plan
• Plan pre-day-1 preparations
• Deliver pre-day-1 tasks
• Plan day-1 actions
• Ensure all teams deliver day-1 actions
• Plan day-2+ preparations
• Plan day-2+ activities
• Ensure all teams deliver day-2+ actions
• Track and communicate progress, risks, and issues
• Review, report, and sign-off all system/service designs

About you

It is our expectation that successful applicants should be able to demonstrate all of the experience and skills listed below:

Essential Requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to communicate to senior business managers
• Significant level of experience in providing 2nd and 3rd line engineering for large scale organizations
• Structured and detailed approach to ensure completeness of plans and delivery
• Experience working with large scale Cyber Security projects/changes/merger
• Experience with some or all of
  • Network security architecture
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Firewalls and Proxies
  • DLP
  • LMS/SIEM/SOAR/SOC
• Strong Documentation and Diagramming skills
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical individuals

Qualifications

• One or more Technical Cyber Security qualifications (e.g. security products)

Desirable Requirements

• Specific experience with large scale global network integrations
