Salesforce is seeking a technical Director of Threat Intelligence Engineering to govern and design our sophisticated threat intelligence platform, architecture, and ecosystem! This senior role integrates complex API management, extensive AWS service management, the Vertex Synapse threat intelligence platform, and Generative AI technologies to ensure the delivery of top-tier security solutions to our global customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Squad Leadership: As a player-coach people leader, cultivate culture centered around continuous learning and innovation, encouraging team members to explore new technologies and methodologies that push the boundaries of what's possible in threat intelligence.

• Leadership Experience: Proven leadership in technology environments, with a history of mentoring and developing impactful teams tasked with deploying critically important threat intelligence systems.

• Cloud Infrastructure/Deployment: Leverage a suite of AWS technologies to create a scalable, secure cloud infrastructure, optimizing each component for the specific needs of real-time threat analytics and data processing.

• AWS Serverless Architecture: Experience in designing, developing and managing serverless applications tailored for threat intelligence, ensuring it accommodates high-volume, low-latency transactions and maintains stringent security standards.

• API Management: API lifecycle management across multiple environments, overseeing their design, implementation, security, and optimization to support the seamless integration of distributed services.

• Data Pipelines: Engineer sophisticated data ingestion and transformation pipelines that maximize the capabilities of our threat intelligence platform for dynamic threat detection and intelligence analysis.

• Deployment and Delivery: Streamline integration and delivery of a primarily serverless architecture to create durable, repeatable, and reliable deployments. AI Integration: Implement and manage the integration of Generative AI technologies and agents to enhance predictive analytics, analysis, and automated threat response

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Programming Expertise: 5+ years programming experience and familiarity with an object oriented language, preferably Python. 

• AWS Proficiency: 5+ years experience designing, managing and securing optimizing AWS cloud solutions, including advanced configurations of network setups, security groups, and automated scaling.

• AWS Serverless Architecture: 5-10 years experiencing designing and managing AWS serverless web applications with a deep understanding of RESTful services

• Security Practices: Comprehensive understanding of modern security practices, including the implementation of advanced encryption protocols, API security mechanisms like API gateways, and secure authentication methods.

Additional Qualifications: 

• Vertex Synapse Knowledge: Knowledge in managing and deploying Vertex Synapse or similar hypergraphs and threat intelligence platforms, particularly in configurations optimized for handling large-scale, sophisticated datasets and performing real-time analytics.

• AI and Machine Learning: Experience with deploying AI and machine learning workloads, particularly integrating these technologies into data analytics pipelines.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $204,400 to $296,400.

For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $185,800 to $269,500.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $204,400 to $296,400.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $223,000 to $323,400.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
