DevSecOps Engineer

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to modernize a software platform for Veterans healthcare facilities that will positively impact the lives of our nation’s Veterans? DevSecOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness—so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We’re looking for a DevSecOps Engineer like you to help develop critical tools—and get them into the hands of those who need them most.

As a DevSecOps engineer, you’ll help streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—create. You’ll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to develop your experience in the latest automation, infrastructure, and cloud-based development while developing software that will make a mission-forward impact.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration

  • Experience with configuring and utilizing DevOps tools

  • Experience with Cloud platforms and migrating a system to a Cloud platform

  • Experience in building enterprise cloud-native solutions and containerization

  • Experience with software development in the Healthcare IT field

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Knowledge of CI/CD technologies and configurations

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in developing software for the U.S. Government, including Veterans Affairs

  • Experience with OpenShift cloud environments

  • Experience with working with VistA environments

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills, to communicate clearly with the customer

  • SAFe Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
