Objective of Position

The GSOC operator/ analyst of Corporate Safety & Security is responsible for establishing the strategy and developing programs to ensure the protection and preservation of GoTo global assets (people, property and information); defining the overall direction of critical incident management and response, physical security operations (SOC), security systems and technology, health and safety programs and operational investigations for all global GoTo locations.

GSOC Operator/Analyst

  • The primary duties are to ensure an efficient coordinated communication operations centre for global locations, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsibilities (Major Duties)

    • Performing as a member of the GSOC team, following guidance and direction from GSOC Lead, safeguarding of proprietary information, integrity of systems and resources, verification, and coordination of internal and external notifications of worldwide and local events that may have an impact to personnel, operations, and assets. Responsible for answering routine and emergency calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment including fire alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms, and provides general assistance to both employees and guests.

    • Coordinate with Security Systems Vendor and REWE (Real Estate & Workplace Experience) Team for maintenance of all equipment, including alarm, card access systems, intercom equipment, surveillance systems, and any other equipment that may be integrated into the operation.

    • Communicate (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information to the local Senior Manager, Senior Manager Critical Systems. Accurately maintains control of all physical security equipment in the GSOC. Supports global badging and emergency requests after-hours. Inspect and observe all assigned areas of responsibility for suspicious activity, safety and security hazards, criminal activity, unsafe conditions, persons in need of assistance or any other unusual condition and effectively report all such incidents immediately.

    • Will work closely with the IT-Security Team during incident responses.

    • Will work with and coordinate issues with our platforms to our global security integrator/programming Team any high-level system issues or failures. Failures of field devices will be entered into the I-Care ticketing system for rapid response to any office location globally.

    • Respond, compile, and report all information regarding theft, alarms, accidents and other incidents that may occur, provide limited investigative tasks, both preliminary and follow-up. Provide limited emergency response support·

    • Assist in the completion of audit and/or assessments within assigned areas of responsibility.

Skill Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/ Graduate (preferably engineering stream).

  • PSP - Physical Security Professional or CPP - Certified Protection Professional

  • A minimum of 3+ years of customer service-related experience.

  • A minimum of 3+ years of security, dispatch operations, GSOC operations, investigations, or asset protection related experience.

  • Previous experience with/ certifications in Genetec access control or integrated security systems are a plus. Project execution experience would be much preferred.

  • Proficient in troubleshooting methodologies to quickly diagnose issues and proactively forecast possible future issues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to effectively communicate in a technically oriented environment with all levels of individuals in the organization.

  • Computer experience required. Prior experience, to include these examples of access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, radio and Incident Reporting data entry, and other life safety alarm systems. 

  • Incident command system training, emergency communications.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) to produce effective reports.

  • Willingness/ fitness to work in shift duties including night shifts.
