JOB SUMMARYThe Security Operations Team Lead is responsible for leading a team that empowers Healthwise teams with tools and resources they need to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Healthwise information and operational systems. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides oversight, direction, and decision-making authority to team employees in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Empowers employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegates responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.

  • Coaches, mentors, and develops staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding. Leads employees to meet expectations for productivity and quality.

  • Appropriately communicates through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.

  • Maintains a strong understanding of the organization’s goals, business processes, and culture, and provide/support the user-level technology solutions and processes that support them.

  • Defines, manages, and communicates project milestones and resource allocation for areas of responsibility to IT Operations leadership.

  • Drives security and compliance best practices with a focus on effective security.

  • Leads effort to assess, evaluate, and make recommendations to Security Officer regarding the adequacy of the security controls for technology systems.

  • Partners with IT Operations leadership and engineering teams to operationalize products and systems that support Healthwise objectives.

  • As needed, participate in the on-call rotation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

 QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4-year college degree (CS, CIS preferred) or equivalent education and work experience.

  • Must have Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including ability to actively listen to and engage customers; comfortable interacting with technology leadership.

  • Strong organizational and analytical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work within a team and be self-motivated.
