The Role

As an IT Security Engineering Officer, you will support the overall engineering team. You will take a the role in the continued innovation of SBC's Cyber Security strategy and responsible for supporting the engineering team that develops, operates, and support mixed security infrastructure in all areas. You will perform research, analysis and design of network, servers and endpoint security controls appropriate for the classification of data stored or processed in the Bank.

How you'll contribute

• Support the IT Security Engineering Team.
• Monitors the performance of IT Security Engineers personnel.
• Oversees and directs the day-to-day activities of key staff working to identify and safeguard the organization's IT assets from technology security threats, weaknesses, and exploits.
• Allocates IT Security Engineer Officer resources to ensure that projects are delivering secure based on the agreed security needs.
• Oversight, planning and execution of any required IT Security Projects
• Detail understanding about different kind of cyber attacks such as DDoS and its mitigation strategies.
• Detail understanding of OWASP Controls, ATT&CK Frameworks.
• Deep understanding on the TCP/IP. How packet are consumed, processed and orchestrated.
• Contributes to process improvement and recommends technology upgrade opportunities for the IT Security Operations & Governance Division
• Experience in delivering large scale, high available security solutions
• Provides consultative services and/or technical support to the other departments in the division for the project implementations, research and development, and simulation including post-implementation.
• Assists IT Security Division, RMG and CISO to address compliance and regulatory related to IT Security.
• Contributes on the development of IT Security Engineering Division's Strategic Plan.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in any IT or related course
• With at least 5 years experience in IT Security
• With any of the following certifications or their equivalent: CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO Lead Implementer
• High degree of organizational & analytical skills.
• Flexible and capable of taking multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated and result-oriented, driving projects to meet the designated schedule
• Excellent interpersonal communication & presentation skills.
• Proficient in both oral & written communication.
• Lead a team of Security engineering professionals responsible for planning, design, implementation, attack mitigation and ongoing support of security systems of high complexity to fulfill the business needs
• Provide technical deep understanding of security systems at different layers i.e network, cloud, endpoint, malware defense, data security etc
• Work with the other various teams to manage the projects and provide insight based on different Best Security standards effectively and efficiently.
• Provide recommendations to management team to increase effectiveness of the bank and technology solutions.
• Supports, implements and promotes standard configuration and change management, processes and practices
