Azure Security Engineer

Rosario, Santa Fe Province, Argentina - Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Security Engineer to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect Azure cloud infrastructure and applications. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure security best practices, hands-on experience with security tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and Implement Security Measures for Azure Infrastructure and Applications:

o Develop and implement security strategies to protect Azure resources.

o Configure Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and other security services.

o Implement network security controls, including firewalls, network security groups (NSGs), and virtual network (VNet) peering.

- Monitor and Manage Security Tools and Services:

o Continuously monitor Azure environments for security threats using Azure Sentinel and other monitoring tools.

o Manage security alerts and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.

o Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

- Conduct Security Assessments and Audits:

o Perform regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.

o Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.

o Collaborate with internal and external auditors during security audits.

- Develop and Maintain Security Policies and Procedures:

o Create and update security policies, standards, and guidelines.

o Educate and train team members on security best practices and policies.

o Ensure that security policies are enforced and followed.

- Respond to Security Incidents and Perform Investigations:

o Act as the first responder to security incidents, investigating and analyzing the root cause.

o Develop and implement incident response plans.

o Document and report security incidents and findings.

- Document Security Configurations and Incident Responses:

o Maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures.

o Document incident response actions and lessons learned.

o Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

· Extensive experience with Azure security services and tools

· Proficiency in security best practices and frameworks

· Strong knowledge of network security, identity and access management, and data protection

· Hands-on experience with scripting and automation for security tasks

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field

· 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering

· Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate) are a plus

· Strong communication and collaboration skills
