Style of work – Hybrid 2 days in office

As our new Senior Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing robust security architectures within our security and IT infrastructure. This senior role requires hands-on engagement with security technologies, developing security policies, standards, procedures, and closely working with other technical teams to seamlessly integrate these into our systems and applications.

Ideally you will possess extensive knowledge of AWS, other cloud services/cloud security services, and have a deep, hands-on expertise in cybersecurity architecture and design, including practical experience with modern security tools and methodologies. As well as this you will hopefully be comfortable in collaborating with cross-functional global teams in dynamic organizations, navigating interdependencies with teams in AWS, our partners, and our internal engineering teams across diverse functions and brands.

The role calls for a seasoned professional experienced in working with enterprise organizations on large-scale migration/modernization transformation projects, with a robust emphasis on cybersecurity. This senior position demands a customer-centric and collaborative approach, coupled with a profound hands-on technical understanding of cloud security solutions, and an enthusiasm for business transformation using cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee robust security architectures, including hands-on involvement with security technologies and practices.
  • Develop, review, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures, with hands-on integration into the development lifecycle.
  • Provide expert review and approval of security designs for new systems and applications.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, offering hands-on expertise to ensure secure design and operation of systems and applications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest security trends, actively engaging with the security community, and adapting security architectures as necessary.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring effective delivery of security-related services.
  • Lead the continuous enhancement of security processes and controls, including hands-on review and update of security policies and procedures.
  • Enhance the organization's security posture through strategic collaboration with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of the organization's security strategy and roadmap, recognizing opportunities for strategic collaboration, and providing hands-on support where needed.

Expertise we’d love to see:

  • Multiple years of proven experience in cybersecurity architecture and design, with hands-on experience in security technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS or other cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Practical experience with OKTA for secure identity management.
  • Sharing knowledge across the wider security community.
  • Working in an agile environment.
  • Incident, change, problem, and risk management.
  • Bonus points for previous software engineering experience, coding, and automation.
