This Network Security Manager will manage and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Security Engineering team and expansive Cisco infrastructure. The manager will coordinate with internal business units and leverage third-party relationships to develop and execute the deployment and maintenance of cutting-edge security solutions. The manager will utilize a blend of solid Cisco networking and security skills along with strategic thinking to drive security enhancements which protect against a broad spectrum of cyber threats. The manager will leverage their leadership experience to mentor security engineers and encourage technical advances in engineering capabilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· 5-7 years of technical experience using Cisco security infrastructure

· 2-3 years experience managing security teams

· 2-3 years experience managing security projects, initiatives, and sprints

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to properly handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

· Cisco professional certification(s) preferred (eg. CCNP, CCNP Security)

· Cybersecurity management certification(s)preferred (eg. CISSP, CISM)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security engineers

· Oversee security projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope

· Manage and coordinate response efforts to security and availability issues

· Ensure seamless integration of Cisco security solutions with existing IT infrastructure

· Perform on-going assessments and upgrades of corporate security infrastructure

· Maintain compliance with corporate security polices

· Serve as a liaison with vendors and other third-party providers

· Remain informed of new developments and trends

· Manage team priorities, goals, and performance reviews

ADDITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS & DUTIES

· Resolve complex problems where the issues are difficult to identify, and facts may be insufficient or misleading

· Employ creative and innovative thinking to bring successful resolution to high-impact, complex problems

· Strong knowledge of Cisco security technologies, such as Cisco Firepower, ASA, ISE, Umbrella, XDR, IDS/IPS

· Strong knowledge of Cisco network technologies, such as routing, switching, VPN, OSPF, BGP
