Senior Information Security Manager

Centrica Energy is the trading arm of Centrica. We trade gas, power and LNG and provide the route to market for our upstream and power generation operations.

We provide our clients with the best route-to-market services available to the market today, integrating sophisticated software, trading and structuring and optimizing exposures all the way from long term risk management down to physical trading seconds before delivery. In Centrica Energy we have a diversified portfolio of energy assets under management, and we represent the new generation of energy traders, leading our customers to value on low-carbon, digital energy markets across the World. Around 700 people work for Centrica Energy in our offices in London, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Singapore.

In response to the escalating cyber threats and stringent regulatory demands, Centrica Energy is looking for a Senior Information Security Manager to join our Information Security team! This role is pivotal in fortifying our cybersecurity defences, ensuring compliance, and fostering customer trust through enhanced data protection. As a Senior Information Security Manager, you will lead strategic security initiatives, optimise cost efficiency by mitigating breach-related expenses, and empower secure business innovation. Ultimately, you will not only safeguard our current operations but also drive business value by enabling a secure environment for growth and competitive advantage.

The Senior Information Security Manager will also be responsible for conducting thorough assessments and continuous monitoring of security systems and protocols to ensure they align with industry standards and organisational policies. You will proactively identify security risks and exposures, determining the root causes of security violations, and recommending procedures to prevent future incidents and enhance security measures.

Location: This is a London based (close to Marble Arch) role and we encourage hybrid working with c3 days in the office and c2 days from home. There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other Centrica Energy offices in Europe.

About the Role:

• Perform comprehensive security system assessments and monitoring.

• Align cybersecurity measures with industry standards and organisational policies.

• Proactively identify and analyse security risks and exposures.

• Investigate causes of security violations and develop prevention strategies.

• Conduct advanced security risk assessments, system evaluations, and compliance audits.

• Champion an overarching initiative to foster end-to-end risk management through trust and collaboration among teams.

About You:

• Proven experience in information security management.

• Strong understanding of security protocols, risk management, and compliance audits.

• Ability to analyse complex security systems and protocols.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
