We offer
A very exciting role where you will be part of reducing the average time to detect and respond to security incidents, measured by metrics such as mean time to detect and mean time to respond.

The team will ensure a high percentage of security incidents resolved within defined service level agreements, demonstrating effective incident management and resolution.

Key responsibilities
As our new Senior Cyber Operations Specialist you will be part of increasing the utilization of threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats, measured by the number of prevented incidents and successful threat identifications.

You will deliver comprehensive and accurate security operations reports to relevant stakeholders, tracking key performance indicators. 

Other key tasks:

In collaboration with our managed security operations center:

• Oversee and manage the continuous monitoring of the organization’s networks and systems to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Lead the coordination and management of the incident response process, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Analyze threat intelligence and data from various sources to identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Continuously evaluate and improve security processes, policies, tools, and technologies, and best practices to ensure consistent and effective incident management and response.. 
• Share insights gained from offensive and defensive operations to enhance the collective understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and effective defensive measures across deals or individual targets. 
• Define metrics and track key performance indicators (KPIs) on security operations, incidents, for senior management and other stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Continuously evaluate and improve SOC processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop SOC analysts and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Knowledge sharing and mentorship: Offer expert advice and training to team members and stakeholders on compliance standards, best practices in system security, and technical procedures, including those related to cloud security solutions. 

Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in overall cybersecurity posture

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have extensive relevant experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, although educational qualifications and internships may also be considered.

You will have at least 5 years working in medium- to large-scale IT environments as a security architect or other security design functions.

Furthermore you have:

• Relevant certifications like GSOC, GCIH, CEH, CISSP CISM, etc.
• The ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences through written materials, presentations, and training sessions
• A Service Oriented mindset and able to work and communicate in a multi-cultural environment
