Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

 

As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will provide systems engineering (SE) services supporting work products that inform cybersecurity (CS) posture decision-makers for network enclave and systems throughout the lifecycle of the program. Services include gathering stakeholder requirements, analyzing requirements, and proposing solutions; implementing, integrating, verifying, and validating approved solutions; and monitoring, sustaining, maintaining, modifying approved solutions. You will assist the government team in the coordination and gathering of CS access-control requirements to ensure robust security; and gather information from various external and internal stakeholders across the program, the Agency, and Second Parties. You will also analyze routine and ad hoc technical CS requirements and propose technical solutions that would allow for the execution of both the program’s operations and CS; and prepare and update written instructions and/or guidance for the approved solutions.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • The candidate should have solid experience supporting Cyber systems, especially as related to systems requirement analysis and deconstruction of high-level requirements into measurable system requirements for development and integration teams.
  • Experience in preparing performance measures of effectiveness for technical solutions and in conducting trend analyses.
  • Experience in working with Communities of Interest (COIs) and Access Control Groups (ACG).
  • Experience in conducting IV&V of government-approved solutions.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

 Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Experience supporting cybersecurity operations activities and best practices, is a strong plus.
  • The ideal candidate would be familiar with the customer’s Cybersecurity organization.

Target Salary Range

$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
