Security Operations is the team that handles day to day protection of our environment and the tools that support them. This team takes care of identifying security weaknesses and facilitates remediation efforts. Additionally, this team monitors networks to assesses abnormal behaviors and manages security incidents to allow for execution of response processes.

 

Your Impact:

 

As a Lead SIEM Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of our SIEM solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze security requirements, design, and maintain SIEM solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate with other security specialists to ensure the proper implementation of intrusion detection systems, incident response processes, and other security-related technologies.

This position prefers candidates with 10 years of Canadian citizenship and/or Permanent Residence, as the candidate will have to undergo a Security Screening to get Reliability Status and Secret Clearance. Candidates who have been rejected for a previous security clearance are also ineligible.

 

What the role offers:

 

As a Lead Security Analyst, you will:

 

  • Maintain SIEM infrastructure for high availability and performance; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with teams and third parties to enhance SIEM security posture.
  • Serve as SME for SIEM within Security Operations and Global Information Security.
  • Continuously review and improve SIEM tools security posture; develop and maintain documentation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune SIEM tools; develop correlation rules for improved threat detection accuracy.
  • Possess 5-8 years of previous professional experience.

 

What you need to Succeed:

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight, LogRhythm) in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on role in implementing and maintaining SIEM.
  • Experience with third parties and stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix and Windows environments; knowledgeable in networking fundamentals and OSI model protocols.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Security, EDR tools, cybersecurity trends, and information security concepts and standards.
