Cyber Policy Strategy Governance Lead

Overview:

The position will report to the CISO and is a member of the cyber security leadership team. The position serves a key role in security ecosystem, close collaboration with Information Technology, Privacy, Legal and other community leader. The position will be to define cyber security policies, strategy and governance for Zelis. The leader will ensure the security policies are focused on pragmatic risk approach that capture the prudent risk of the organization. The leader will build cyber strategy based on the emerging threat landscape, regulatory requirements, and business strategy. The leader will also ensure security policies are effectively enforced and any non-conformance is properly documented.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of cyber security policies and standards. Partner with domain experts to create domain specific standards. Responsible for defining and driving cyber security strategy. Partner with enterprise architecture to build a cyber security architecture practice. Facilitate cyber security standards steering committee for standards approvals. Measure and enforce conformance to cyber security policies and standards. Responsible for creating security metrics that are actionable and help measure the effectiveness of policies. Lead the cyber security risk exception practice that ensures prudent risks are addressed based on the risk appetite. Responsible for cyber security awareness practice to educate Zelis associates on current and emerging cyber risks. Meet with auditors and regulators to clearly demonstrate Zelis cyber security processes and capabilities. Ensure that the team has properly documented processes. 

Qualifications:

 
Required:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security (or) related degree and experience 
    Ten Plus years experience in Cyber Security Policy and governance function.
  • Five Plus years experience in managing advanced security education and awareness program.
  • Experience in building and leading a comprehensive security metrics program.
  • Experience in leading an offshore team in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience interacting with regulator or auditors.

•    Overseeing remediation efforts by IT staff and business line owners experience 
•    Performing Information Security/Information Technology risk assessments experience 
•    Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment 
•    Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously 
•    Strong verbal and written communications skills 

Preferred:  

•    Familiarity with regulatory controls and industry best practices such as HIPAA, PCI, CIS, HiTrust, ISO 27001, NIST etc.) 
•    CISSP, CISM, SABSA or other relevant certifications
