IT Security & Risk Officer

As an IT Security and Risk Officer, you play an active role in supporting the business objectives of our company. Our customers rely on trust and you will help to maintain a high level of that trust. You will ensure that all risk processes and procedures are correctly followed and executed according to the policies that are due within NN Belgium. 

What does your job as an IT Security & Risk Officer look like?

• You control if the security measures on a certain process are sufficient and follow up on the initiatives that came out of this analysis. You support colleagues with security advice and understand the phases of information security analysis and design, applying them to current and future system requirements.

• You lead or participate in security reviews, evaluations, risk assessments, and business impact analysis of our business applications.

• You review evidence for control tracking, identify gaps, and provide feedback.

• You challenge IT teams on the quality of the security designs, measures, knowledge, or awareness.

• You explain and present the NN Information Security Policy Framework to the organization.

• You actively contribute to the integration activities related to Security & Risk, guiding Application Leaders in identifying and managing the risk in their respective applications.

This is how you fit perfectly into our team

• You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in IT risk and security domains.

• You have general knowledge of information technology, information security domains and risk governance. You are familiar with GDPR and (parts of) CISSP, CISA and CISM. You also have knowledge of the DORA legislation.

• You have strong written and verbal skills, with a very good knowledge of English and Dutch or French.

• You have experience in small scale project planning and reporting, either individually or in a team.

• You are customer focused, action and result oriented, and able to work independently.

• You are well organized and a problem solver in the workplace domain.

• You are a good communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences and speak the language of the “user”. You are capable of mentoring less experienced “users” and/or peers.
