We’re looking for an amazing DevSecOps Manager to fill this role, which is based in our Santa Clarita office. You’ll be responsible for providing leadership, support, and organization to a team of technically skilled individuals working within the POLAR Reservation Ecosystem. You will meet with Executives, Directors, Managers and other team members, both internal to the GTS IT organization as well as from all POLAR Mainframe supported brands and third party vendors to ensure your work aligns to business priorities and goals. You will ensure the effective and seamless integration of security policies and practices to DevOps workflows to reduce overall risks and deliver quality products and services. You will oversee all system/environment configurations for the POLAR Ecosystem both in the Cloud and “On-Prem”, assisting in the delivery of critical features and applications as well as assisting in defining system architecture and future state. You will facilitate sharing and discussions across portfolios, programs, projects, development teams and individual roles ensuring best practices are followed. You will need to be adept at estimating project time and costs with respect to your team and will provide your team with a formula for successfully delivering software on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the visioning, architecture, development, security, and sustainment of solutions for the POLAR Ecosystem technology portfolio including the POLAR Mainframe, associated Web Applications and DB2 Databases and Environment Configurations        
  • Provide Technical leadership for changes to processes to increase efficiencies. Develop, measure, and interpret statistics that serve as team performance indicators. Use this information to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Propose changes to DevSecOps technology and processes (Automated Testing, CI/CD, AI integration etc) and bring these new ideas and efforts to reality.
  • Lead efforts to monitor, evaluate, and remediate security and compliance needs for the POLAR Ecosystem. Ensure all environments and related configurations meet current Corporate Policies and industry standards for compliance and security.             
  • Foster an environment of transparency and open discussion, resource planning, working closely with other leaders and direct reports and ensuring adherence to security and compliance guidelines. Collaborate across teams (internal and external) at senior levels to drive engagement, manage risks, and ensure success      
  • Ensure system monitoring and status dashboards/applications are in place and functional and ensure support and reporting procedures are in place and followed.
  • Generate systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures. Keep up to date with the latest trends in the technology industry as well as with different cloud solutions and DevOps technologies.       


Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in information systems, computer science, business administration or related work experience
  • 8+ years of experience architecting web application infrastructure, deployment pipeline and DevOps platforms.
  • 5+ years experience working with automated testing preferred.
  • 3+ years experience directly managing people and leaders required. 
  • Must have work experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, AWS Fargate, Kubernetes etc.
  • Must have experience in cloud infrastructures and services, AWS preferred but not required.
  • Solid understanding of IT operations
  • Fluid in Organizational Change Management as it relates to IT projects and processes.
  • Experience with the RFP process, vendor contracts and vendor management required.
  • Experience delivering compliant and secure applications (i.e. ADA, PII, PCI, etc.) required.
  • Experience creating IT strategies and creative problem solving required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile development practices as well as software development practices required.
  • Experience with managing large-dollar budgets across multiple business owners and managing the accounting of spend and forecasts required.
  • Passionate about people, process, and technologies and able to inspire and motivate others
  • Experience setting and achieving sound goals
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders and groups in the organization
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of ownership, urgency, drive, and an unwavering commitment to do the right thing
  • Proven leadership in facilitating complex discussions to achieve goals and solve problems
  • Proven analytical and decision-making skills using department and well as self-defined KPIs

  • Base Salary Range: $105,200.00 to $142,000.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
