About the role

 

Join our team as a Senior Cyber Security Officer, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the security is appropriately considered. These will include business initiatives, solution designs and vendor assessments.

 

The role will report into the Manager, Cyber Security and Compliance. You will have a strong sense of responsibility and autonomy in the delivery of the work assignments and projects on time, ensuring expectations in terms of quality, deliverables, and outcomes.

 

The role would be ideal for an individual to be having a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.

 

What we’re looking for

  • You will have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in cyber security or IT, and 1-2 years of experience in cyber governance and knowledge of cyber risk frameworks, e.g., NIST, ISO 27001.
  • Able to provide advice, guidance, and accurate information to ensure business needs and priorities are securely met.
  • Identify and address potential systemic issues and themes by analysing data collated to provide input into changes to relevant procedure and/or policy.
  • Lead the implementation of security programs and standards across the Authority to ensure compliance.
