Job Description SummaryAs a Principal Cyber Security Architect, you will be responsible for the security architecture of our AWS cloud and Enterprise Network environments. As an SME you will be leveraged as trusted consultant to review business application architecture as we are migrating applications and be a point of contact for our AWS Cloud platform and Network teams. You will also be expected to work both independently, contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across the enterprise related to design, security and architecture discussions. As a valued member of the Cyber Security Architecture team, you will have strong influence on technical decisions in various domains of cyber security.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction

  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint

  • Assess security and architecture of business applications as they migrate

  • Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model

  • Support architecture and design of cloud solutions meeting standardization, consolidation,  security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities, for different business use-cases

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies as they become available

  • Coach and mentor team members and colleagues in horizontal teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) OR A minimum of 10 years of related professional experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience scripting/programming (Powershell,  Bash/Zsh, Python, Go etc.) or developing cloud native services/applications

  • Proven experience in securing AWS environments for large organizations

  • Strong understanding of AWS security features and security architecture principles regarding Amazon’s platform (Well Architected Framework)

  • Strong understanding of network and security principles and their implementation within AWS – CloudWAN experience is a plus

  • Recent experience with Palo Alto NGFW technologies, including Prisma Access

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

  • AWS hands on experience architecting and securing solutions leveraging multiple services within a public cloud provider

  • Experience using an automated configuration management or infrastructure as code system (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Cloudformation, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, peering, hub and spoke virtual network design and inter-networking technologies (routing/switching, proxy, firewall, load balancing etc.)

  • Experience in cyber security and related infrastructure technologies, cloud-based infrastructure, software defined networks

  • Knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) and associated best practices

  • Preferably AWS Cloud Security Architect certification

Business Acumen:

  • Analytical thinking – ability to analyze business application architecture by asking the right questions and providing feedback

  • Understands technical and business discussions relative to future security architecture direction aligning with business goals

  • Familiar with elements of gathering architecture requirements.

  • Understands architecture standards concepts to apply to project work

  • Understand key cross-functional concepts that impact the organization; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics

Leadership:

  • Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. Can identify and raise issues, risks and benefits

  • Participates in change initiatives by implementing new directions and providing appropriate information and feedback.

  • Capable of making rapid risk decisions and escalate if necessary

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $155,040.00-$232,560.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
