Job Description

Strategic Cloud Consultant

As a Strategic Cloud Consultant, you will provide expert guidance to clients in adopting and optimizing cloud technologies to meet their business objectives. This role involves understanding client needs, assessing current infrastructure, and developing tailored cloud strategies. You will also shape our cloud consulting methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand clients' financial and environmental goals related to cloud adoption.
• Analyze cloud spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement FinOps strategies, including rightsizing, instance reservations, and utilization monitoring.
• Define budget allocation and governance frameworks for cloud spending.
• Develop and implement GreenOps strategies to minimize environmental impact, focusing on energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.
• Track KPIs related to environmental sustainability, such as energy consumption and carbon emissions.
• Improve cloud operation efficiency through workload consolidation and server optimization.
• Establish policies and best practices for sustainable cloud operations, including waste reduction and renewable energy usage.
• Promote awareness of FinOps and GreenOps principles with stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and adjust FinOps and GreenOps strategies for optimal outcomes.

Skills / Experience:

• Experience leading customer conversations and cloud projects.
• Proficiency in Azure, AWS, GCP, and Private Cloud.
• Knowledge of financial principles for cloud spending and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with environmental sustainability frameworks and regulations.
• Experience with FinOps platforms like IBM Apptio Cloudability and Broadcom VMware CloudHealth is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
• Certifications like Certified FinOps Practitioner (CFOP) or Certified GreenOps Professional (CGOP) are highly desirable.
