7+ Years of Experience In:

• SIEM deployment, fine tuning, integrating logs, alerts
• Incident Detection and Response
• SOC Management
• Cloud/Network Security (Firewall, IPS)
• Vulnerability Management
• EndPoint Protection
• Application Security (SAST/DAST/IAST)
• Other Security tools/processes (Email Security, DLP, etc.)
• Operating Systems: MacOS, Linux, Windows

Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for architecting, testing, installing, configuring, and maintaining security solutions/tools as well as monitoring infrastructure (cloud, networks and systems) for vulnerabilities, unusual activity, security breaches, and/or intrusions.

This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with global teams on the implementation, maintenance, and administration of security tools. This individual will develop security requirements, and design and implement / enhance security solutions.

Senior Security Engineer will have experience guiding and leading a team of Level 1 & 2 SOC Analysts to monitor, detect, analyze, remediate, and report on cyber events & incidents impacting the IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Development of new and innovative ways to solve existing production security issues as well as evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities
• Develops technical security requirements for new products, tools and services envisioned for implementation
• Help and guide project teams during solution design phase to ensure secure design
• Collaborates and coordinates with application, operations and project teams to provide guidance on the development of secure product designs that meet security requirements
• Architects, analyzes and recommends security controls and procedures in business processes related to the use of information systems and assets, and monitors for compliance
• Provides technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members and creates a culture of customer-centricity, accountability and high performance
• Ability to communicate complex security issues and develop security user stories in language that non-technical stakeholders can understand
• Ability to deliver and test security solutions in alignment with industry security standards
• Performs validation and tuning of security testing tools to provide accurate and actionable results that drive improvements to the overall security posture
• Performs security monitoring of solutions and participates as a subject matter expert in security incident response scenarios
• Ensures that all application and infrastructure solutions are stable, secure, and compliant with security standards and policies
• Ability to document designs and produce technical reports in support of security initiatives
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in progressively senior information security technical roles with responsibility focused on information security processes
• Very strong knowledge in secure systems engineering
• Very strong experience with securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Must have excellent customer-service, listening, communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of common security assessment frameworks such as MITRE, OWASP, ISO27001, NIST, HITRUST etc
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps practices is a definite asset
• One or more of the following professional certifications GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, relevant Cloud Security certifications or equivalent experience is essential
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical & non-technical audiences
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and facilitation/presentation skills.
