About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate competitive intelligence/field professional to support our product and sales teams.  This role will function as the competitive product leader within CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Generation SIEM (NG-SIEM) powered by LogScale.

In this role you will be directly working with our product teams to guide roadmap decisions by developing a deep, nuanced understanding of the competition’s technical capabilities, primary GTM strategy/tactics, as well as why CrowdStrike wins or loses vs. the competition in visibility and automation in NG SIEM workflows. You will partner with senior leaders across Product Groups, Sales, Enablement, and Marketing to achieve these objectives and scale to a global level.

This role requires deep technical knowledge in log management, SIEM, and XDR security, and a functional understanding of actual real-world deployments, extended use-cases, and customer motivations.  Make recommendations on sales tactics and product strategy to enable CrowdStrike to win in the market.

This is an individual contributor, remote work position.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will be required to synthesize and formulate guidance from a variety of information levels and sources (technical, business, field, external) and regularly present key takeaways to the field and to senior leadership

  • Provide a field-actionable, in-depth and ever-evolving understanding and analysis of cloud security market relative to CrowdStrike solutions and capabilities

  • Provide tailored deal support (competitive surgeries & guidance), and develop a deep rapport with the field

  • You will work closely with the rest of the Competitive Intelligence team at CrowdStrike, as well as other key stakeholders (including the office of the CTO, field leadership, sales ops, product, and marketing teams), functioning as a primary liaison for NG-SIEM security competition which includes development of competitive support material and competitive readiness plans.

  • Make recommendations on sales tactics and product strategy to enable CrowdStrike to win in the market.

  • Will be expected to be a self-starter with an ownership mentality.  You will work autonomously in the development of project plans, requirements, timelines, content, and ongoing tracking/updates of the cloud competitive landscape.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the log SIEM market with heavy emphasis on log management skills and best practices related to log analysis, data onboarding, parsers, search queries, dashboards, and alerts.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows and Linux troubleshooting, data ingestion formats, programming languages (Python, Powershell, Javascript, etc.), REST API, cloud concepts (AWS, Azure and GCP), orchestration (SOAR), and integration tools.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (Ideal candidates will have experience in at least TWO of the following):  sales engineer/pre-sales, competitive intelligence, solution architect, sales operations, product management, technical marketing, professional services, and technical support.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into field actionable guidance and executive summaries.

  • Superior communication skills including experience presenting to senior & executive level management.

  • Excellent people and project management skills to manage projects and interact/build rapport with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.

  • Highly motivated self-starter to be able to work independently but also team oriented.

Bonus Points:

  • Long term (6 months min) recent experience within a SOC performing analysis and triage of security incidents using a Log Management and/or SOAR platform

  • Applied knowledge and integration experience with a generative AI platform

  • Direct experience with customers (as a customer, or in a customer support or field role)
