Profile description: DevSecOps Engineer – D&E MX System Team

Job Description

Within the ASML software development cycle we see opportunities to speed up software development. To do this we build innovative solutions that contribute to lead time reduction and support engineers with the right tools for the job. The MX System Team part of the D&E Metrology and Machine Control cluster was started for this purpose. We are looking to expand this team with more outstanding and enthusiastic DevSecOps engineers.

As a DevSecOps engineer within the MX System Team you will be:

• Part of a group that regularly receives challenging assignments that relate to the improvements for software delivery performance.

• Designing and building feasible, sustainable, and modular solutions for the MX Innovation Hub products like cloud build solutions and automated workflows (aka pipelines).
• Evaluating design choices based on cost, performance, and user needs.
• Defining non-functional requirements.

• Working on scalable solutions that enable CI/CD within the software development process.
• Automating a large part of the existing software quality and delivery process.
• Challenging and collaborating within MX and with other parts of the organization to bring innovations and improvements that benefit all our engineering teams.

Who are we looking for:

From a personality perspective, you are customer focused, accustomed to context switching in a fast-paced environment. It is important to have a can-do mentality, focus on results, a desire to complete challenging tasks and learn on the fly.

Formal education should include Bachelor or Master level education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields. Also, you are well acquainted with software development and have relevant experience.

Furthermore, to thrive in this job you have:

• 8+ years of experience
• Experience with the following concepts/technologies:
  • Python
  • Linux terminal usage (shell scripting)
  • Version control systems (Git, GitHub)
  • CI/CD (GitHub Actions)

• Nice to have experience:
  • Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Dashboarding (e.g., Splunk, Grafana)
  • Golang, C++/C, MATLAB, Julia, Terraform, GCP (or other cloud provider)

• An ability to decompose complex processes into understandable components.
• Agile mindset
• Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes.
• Proficient in the English language (written and oral)

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
