Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance


Work Schedule: Fulltime, Onsite M-F.


Role Overview:

The Vulnerability Management Specialist is the cybersecurity professional responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating weaknesses in an organization's systems and applications. They utilize vulnerability scanners, assess risks, develop remediation plans, and track the overall health of the security posture.


General Skillset

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
  • Critical Thinking Skills
  • Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed

Specific Skillset

  • Execute the identification and tracking of Information System vulnerabilities.
  • Report vulnerability statistics. Use Tenable SecurityCenter and Nessus scanners, RedSeal, BigFix, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker (SCC) Tool, HP Fortify, other automated tools, and manual inspections to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Document vulnerabilities in the RSA Archer Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (eGRC) system.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • CompTIA Security+

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of direct vulnerability management experience or 5+ years of IT administrator experience.
