As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team, you are an integral part of team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions.

Job responsibilities

  • Engages and improve the whole lifecycle of services - from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinement
  • Develops and build solutions relating to Cloud Environment Governance and Protection, Auditing, Monitoring, Remediation and Reporting 
  • Designs, develops and improves services to scale as the firm's cloud usage grows 
  • Develops, tests, deploys, maintains and enhances software/tooling solutions
  • Manages individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables, performs system design and code reviews
  • Advocates for engineering excellency and operation excellency
  • Leads stakeholder interactions and mentors fellow junior engineers 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Strong experience in developing and architecting cloud-native applications with AWS services.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in AWS services, including Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, EKS, etc
  • Practical exposure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience in developing enterprise software and proficiency in multiple languages, preferably Python
  • CI/CD experience utilizing tools such as Github, Jenkins etc.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design, validate and implement creative solutions to complex technical issues

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity
  • Experience with Azure, GCP or other Public Cloud environments
  • Cloud Certifications including AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate
