Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida is looking for a Cybersecurity Strategy & Data Systems Manager. 

 

Hybrid Schedule preferred but open to discussing remote work.

 

 

 

SUMMARY

 

The Cybersecurity Strategy Manager is responsible for establishing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy in close cooperation with corporate IT, internal OT system providers, external OT system providers, and Mitsubishi Power customers. The major scope of this role is focused on interfaces between our OT and IT systems. These systems and interfaces are critical to MPA’s ability to securely receive and access data from customer sites while protecting and enabling onsite and remote services for our customers.

 

This position will also lead the data systems team with a focus on the reliable flow of operating plant data, operating plant data taxonomies, and scalable operating plant data analysis.

 

The successful candidate will be capable of independently representing Mitsubishi Power Americas Inc. within the Power Industry specifically and Technology industries in general regarding cybersecurity and operating plant data topics. The candidate will possess “up to date” knowledge and awareness of cybersecurity technologies and other challenges in order to maintain competitive service offerings and effective support for our internal and external customers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Grow and maintain a program that advises leadership of the top security risks and overall security health of the MPA service enterprise including SCADA and associated software.
  • Establish and track cyber priorities across entire product portfolio.
  • Provide strategic recommendations, at the executive level, regarding cybersecurity and related topics.
  • Work with corporate IT security and other industry experts to develop and maintain cybersecurity design standards for OT cybersecurity systems.
  • Develop and then guide in the implementation of OT cybersecurity services for customer vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, incident response & recovery.
  • Evaluate and then guide in the implementation of methodologies to support investigation of OT cyber security incidents with the goal of reporting and then providing recommendations.  Work with IT security to develop and then guide in the implementation of mitigation / remediation measures.
  • Provide support for the execution of OT related cybersecurity deliverables focused on supporting business needs and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Oversee implementation of OT cybersecurity designs which meet ISO, NERC CIP, IEC, and NIST requirements.
  • Possess detailed technical knowledge of cybersecurity requirements.
  • Attend conferences and deliver customer presentations on cybersecurity and data analysis related topics.
  • Provide mentoring and training of team members to maximize their growth and capability.
  • Establish standards for configuration management of customer OT networks covered by MPA service agreements.
  • Incorporate fleet experience and feedback into design reviews, design meetings, and communicate to the appropriate engineering design personnel.
  • Support ISO and other audits and compliance efforts.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Education: BS or (MS preferred) degree in computer science or engineering or other technical discipline from an accredited college or university OR equivalent directly related experience.
  • Experience: Experience should include ten (10) years or more developing and implementing cybersecurity related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success working in a large organization implementing processes to mitigate cybersecurity risks related to OT and IT.
  • The ideal candidate will have cybersecurity related certification(s) from GIAC, CompTIA, ISACA, or other recognized certification authority.
  • Language Skills: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and engineering procedure.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to understand and review advanced mathematical concepts including probabilities.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and evaluate risk without complete data available.
  • Computer Skills:  Advanced computer skills including IT technologies, OT technologies, computer networking, and computer / network security concepts and devices.
