We are responsible for hundreds of millions of identity transactions to facilitate global travel. Our business is growing, and we are seeking seasoned professionals who are familiar with the travel industry to help up jointly transform the way the world travels. As a Senior Presales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in translating client needs into effective identity solutions, leveraging a combination of leading proprietary and third-party technologies, technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration. In doing so, you will contribute to the advancement of security, identity and biometric based technologies.

Key Missions

The key missions and responsibilities of the Travel & Transport senior presales consultants are:

  1. Understanding Customer Needs: Senior presales consultants at IDEMIA are responsible for comprehensively understanding the specific operational challenges and requirements of clients in various sectors of the global travel market, such as airlines, airports, maritime, mass transit, border agencies and private actors.

 

  1. Designing Tailored Solutions: Senior presales consultants use their expertise in IDEMIA's products and services, along with knowledge of third-party solutions, to design solutions that address the unique operational needs and constraints of each client in areas such as Border Control, Passenger Flow Facilitation, API-PNR and so on.

 

  1. Providing Technical Expertise: Senior presales possess deep technical knowledge of IDEMIA's products, including biometric authentication systems, secure credentialing solutions, and digital identity platforms. They stay updated on the latest advancements in identity and security technologies.

 

  1. Ensuring Collaboration and Communication: They work closely with various stakeholders, including sales and pre-sales teams, project managers, delivery teams, and customers, to ensure alignment between the proposed solutions and client requirements.

Technical Skills

  1. Systems Integration: Proficiency in integrating IDEMIA's hardware and software solutions with third-party systems and technologies to create standard or bespoke solutions.

 

  1. Cloud Computing and SaaS: Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) models to design scalable and cloud-native security solutions that leverage cloud infrastructure and services.

 

  1. Cybersecurity Knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity principles and methodologies, including encryption, secure authentication protocols, network security, and threat detection, to design robust and resilient and secure architectures.

 

  1. Expertise in Biometrics & Identity: Solid knowledge of biometric technologies, including fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, and/or iris recognition, as well as their applications in identity platforms and use journeys.

 

  1. Understanding of Security Standards and Regulations: Familiarity with relevant security standards and regulations, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST SP 800-63, GDPR, and PCI DSS, to ensure compliance and adherence to industry best practices and secure solution design.

 

  1. Project Management: Project management skills to effectively plan, organize, and manage security solution design and implementation projects.

  1. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and solution architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and executives.

 

  1. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze complex operational challenges of customers and develop innovative solutions that address these needs while considering constraints such as budget, time, and regulatory requirements.

 

  1. Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills and client-centric mindset to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, understand their business and operations objectives as well as their security priorities.

 

  1. Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including sales, delivery teams, product management, and customer support, to ensure alignment between solution design and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

 

  1. Adaptability and Learning Agility: Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing project requirements, emerging technologies, and evolving industry trends, coupled with a continuous learning mindset to stay updated on the latest advancements in technologies and best practices.
