The role
As an Information Security Management System Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a challenging role where you will be responsible for providing a high level of professional Information Assurance (IA) support.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll provide support to stakeholders to enable an open and transparent working relationship focused on resolving issues as they arise.  Supporting the development of specific plans for change to meet key customer requirements as well as:

 

  • Supporting the implementation and development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) including associated policies for both ISO27001 and ISO28001 certification
  • Developing and managing a program of risk assessment activity
  • Providing support and guidance on implementation of risk management controls, creating a detailed gap analysis and implementation activity in support of new acquisitions
  • Developing and managing an InfoSec training awareness programme for all staff and implementing a strong cultural awareness campaign
  • Developing and managing a supply chain due diligence programme of activity to identify and mitigate risk and impact of supplier/service/product use on data protection and IA requirements
  • Supporting the wider aspects of delivery of the security plan to ensure a holistic approach is taken in the protection of assets strategy 


This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of two days in the office/onsite and three days working from home.


Essential experience of the Information Security Management System Manager

  • Previous experience of supporting ICT projects to deliver to JSP604 compliance
  • Working knowledge HMG IA Standards, National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) IA Publications, and MOD JSP440
  • Experience of international standards including ISO27000, ISO28000 and NIST Cyber Security Framework
  • Delivering both tactical and strategic solutions focused around customer priorities
  • A broad understanding of computer and network technical architecture
  • Knowledge of security enforcement functions such as OS hardening 

 

Qualifications for the Information Security Management System Manager

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Security
  • Hold Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified information systems security professional (CISSP) or similar high level qualification in Information Security
  • ISO27001 and ISO28001 Lead Implementor / Lead Assessor
  • UK driving licence

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
