Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Research Engineer (Staff or Principal Level) to join our small but dedicated Information Security R&D team. 

Supported by the team lead and reporting into the CISO, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Internet Privacy and contributing to the protection of information integrity. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth (passive) research into hostile network activities, and developing and implementing advanced security measures. Your skills and experience will help us stay ahead of emerging threats to the availability of our product within logically and globally diverse environments.

As a key member of our R&D Security team, you will analyse and mitigate risks, design and deploy cutting-edge technical solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continually improve our capabilities.

An ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network forensics and investigation, a passion for engineering curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to preserving the Digital Rights of our Customers.

Core Technical Requirements

• Network Forensics & Investigation (not Network Engineering)
• Systems Thinking
• Systems Engineering
• Network Infrastructure Security
• Proof of Concept development in Rust, C/C++, and Python

Qualifications & Experience

1. Minimum of six years of experience in information security research
2. Proven track record of conducting research on network activity in locations that employ controls to disrupt Internet connectivity
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
4. Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities, with a demonstrated history of working effectively within cross-functional teams at a senior level
