Job Description

Job Description: Review new projects or changes to existing ones from a security point of view. Ensure security is considered part of the company’s software development life cycle. Perform security reviews to assess general controls including but not limited to: access control, data access and management, application security specific controls and integration with our automated suite of security tests, and part of the application deployment into the production environment. Review new vendors of the company and integrations with these vendors from a security point of view.  Perform reviews of new 3rd party vendors to assess the security posture of the vendor, any integrations with systems of the company, and a general controls’ security analysis of any required integrations. Support security related requests coming from development teams. Assist with developing and maintaining compliance for company’s security policies by developing policies, procedures and standards, automated security controls into the deployment system, ensuring awareness for development teams and monitoring of any application security aspects in the software development lifecycle. Respond to support tickets opened by development and product teams that might include inquiries on security controls, management of application secrets and other reviews of various scenarios from a security point of view. Telecommuting permissible from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Digital Science, Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in Information Security or in the job offered or related role.

Skills: Experience and/or education must include: 

  1. Application security experience (e.g. as many of: source code auditing, threat modeling, product assessments, vulnerability research, development of security tools and automation);

  2. Cloud technologies and containerization of applications in the cloud;

  3. Basic programming skills, capability to understand written programming code, and abilities to write short automation scripts;

  4. Application security risks in web application, capability to explain the OWASP Top 10 risks and provide mitigation options; and

  5. General knowledge of applied cryptography.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $78,000/year - $128,000/year plus restricted stock units and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
