The Cybersecurity Analyst will provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems or enclave cybersecurity policies, standards, and methodologies; maintains operational security posture for an information system, program, or enclave to ensure cybersecurity standards, and procedures are established and followed; performs day-to-day security operations of the system or enclave; perform IT security control validations; provide configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware; manage changes to system and assess the security impact of those changes; prepare and review documentation to include Systems Security Plans (SSPs) and Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) packages in accordance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop IA documentation to support certification of compliance to applicable Risk Management Framework (RMF) Standards
  •  Ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of information technology systems
  •  Maintaining and supporting current and ongoing Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages
  •  Implementing and supporting cybersecurity standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A Standards
  •  Working with systems owners, government managers, and other stakeholders to manage cybersecurity requirements
  •  Performing regular systems security scans, and maintaining records of such scans, as required by C&A guidelines.
  •  Responding to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) as necessary to address systems vulnerabilities
  •  Reviewing systems security utilization logs per cybersecurity standards 
  •  Reviewing and evaluating information technology software, hardware and networks and the overall cybersecurity posture of information technology systems
  • Recommendations for security improvements based on advances in industry or response to threat intelligence.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience is required in Information Assurance and Information Systems Security.  The selected applicant must be able to work independently and with a team.
  • A DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE or equivalent) or Level 3 (CASP, CISSP, or equivalent)
  • Security Clearance: An active DoD Interim Security clearance is required to start. Top Secret clearance is highly desired. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
