Division Overview

The Information Security Department is a global department, which is responsible for coordinating the protection of Nasdaq’s core business operations and information against real-world cyber threats, by employing technology, policy, processes, education programs and sound design techniques across the enterprise.

Team and Role Overview

We are looking for an Information Security Specialist in Firewall Engineering team, who will be working on daily operations tasks (handling firewall tickets, resolving firewall-related incidents) as well as firewall upgrade tasks. If you have the curiosity to learn new technologies and expand your knowledge on information security and network firewalls, this position may be right for you.

What you will do:
  • Work on firewall requests (planning, documenting and implementing firewall openings);
  • Communicate with clients (both internal and external) for any firewall-related matters;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex firewall-related incidents;
  • Perform firewall OS upgrades with pre- and post-checks;
  • Cooperate with other teams on daily basis with regards to firewall requests, incidents and upgrades;
  • Participate in CAB meetings and represent firewall tickets.

What We Expect:
  • Good understanding of OSI Layers and network security technologies;
  • Expertise on firewall products - Cisco ASA, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and respective management platforms, understanding firewall upgrade process and nuances;
  • Good understanding in VPN concepts (S2S IPSec VPN, SSL Remote VPN);
  • Referring knowledge base for identified known threats and performing analysis, providing mitigation plan and act on fixing those;
  • Experience with IT Operation tools like ITSM, Jira and understanding of ITIL, Change, Incident and Problem Management processes;
  • Follow the defined process to complete open firewall requests to maintain adherence to defined SLAs;
  • Fluent English and good communication skills;
  • Ability to support 24/7 on-call rotation.

Monthly salary (Gross): 3800 - 4000 EUR, other bonuses apply in addition to long-term incentive programs.
