Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Security Architect to join our growing Information Security team. In this role, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organisation's security posture. You will work closely with senior security professionals to identify and mitigate security risks, develop, and implement security controls, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior security architects in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure IT infrastructure and applications
  • Analyze security requirements for new projects and initiatives and recommend appropriate security controls and measure
  • Evaluate security technologies, products, and solutions to assess their suitability for addressing specific security challenges
  • Provide support and guidance to IT teams during the implementation of security controls and measures, ensuring adherence to security standards and policies
  • Participate in the implementation and ongoing management of security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control systems
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies
  • Assist with security incident response activities
  • Maintain documentation of security architectures, configurations, procedures, and incidents, and prepare reports for management and stakeholders as required

Qualifications

GISA Education/Training/Qualifications/Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience in information security or related field
  • Experience of working in a complex, multi-country professional services, financial services or BPO organisation with complex processing requirements
  • Multi-country experience and demonstrates an ability to work in a multi-cultural, talented, and demanding team environment
  • Possess the skills and the personality to operate effectively in a very fast-paced complex global business with an in-depth knowledge of program management
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, with staff members, customers, suppliers, and the management team with the ability to make decisions, act and get results
  • Passion, dynamism, and drive
  • Personal presence, integrity, and credibility
  • Ability to solve problems either independently or by utilising other members of the team where necessary
