Senior Security Engineer - Infrastructure

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the security of our cloud infrastructure
• Partner with engineering teams in designing and implementing scalable, secure solutions that power large-scale, innovative research initiatives
• Review Security Assessments and other documentation for sales and compliance when necessary
• Align with IT to maintain daily operational security

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Solid security fundamentals, including threat modeling and secure design principles
• Experience with AWS Security tooling and building secure systems in AWS
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with container security
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cryptographic primitives such as hashing, signing, and encryption
• Fluency in at least one programming language (Ruby, Python, Go, etc)
• Familiarity with scalable systems and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with automating security workflows in cloud environments
• Strong communication skills, especially among audiences with differing technical backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Programming experience in Python and/or Ruby
• Experience with maintaining large, distributed systems
• Experience with security testing (penetration testing/red teaming)
• Experience with at least one certification (SOX 2, ISO 27001, HighTrust)
• Proven ability to implement security automation tools in a fast-moving environment
