US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Cybersecurity Analyst will work with our government client to provide operational and policy support for ensuring the security of critical information systems. You will do the following:

  • Maintain a System Security Dashboard
  • Monitor COTS products and Open-Source products used in the OMB environment for new security vulnerabilities or patches and notify the relevant stakeholders including the COR if any are identified
  • Actively monitor for security threats including hacking attempts, DOS attacks, and other common industry threats.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts and minor applications that improve the efficiency or functionality of the OMB Security Team
  • Provide operational and policy support for ensuring the security of the OMB information systems, including support of strategic and readiness planning initiatives
  • Cleaning up data spills and attending briefings on current security threats will require personnel to acquire and maintain an active security clearance at the TS/SCI level

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience, with at least 1 year in a security or technical role
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and a clear appreciation of end customer needs
  • Expertise in IT security implementation and compliance in a Federal government environment
  • One to two years of experience working with Zabbix or similar monitoring tools
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity and a "helping others helps us all" personality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical documentation
  • Comfort working directly with senior Federal technical staff

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and diagnostic skills in a complex IT environment
  • Experience with information gathering and information monitoring, working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Ability to create system documentation for ongoing system management
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment, or a CSM certification
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office applications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related preferred). Experience may be substituted in the absence of a degree.

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work.
