Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented junior-level Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) for our operations supporting NAVSEA in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a Remote position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify information protection needs for an IS and Cloud Network Environment.

  • Define IS and Network Environment security requirements in accordance with applicable cybersecurity requirements.

  • Design security architectures for use within the IS and Cloud Network Environment.

  • Design and develop cybersecurity-enabled products for use within an IS and Network Environment.

  • Develop and implement security designs for new or existing network system(s). Ensure that the design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications adequately address cybersecurity requirements for the IS and Network Environment.

  • Design, develop, and implement network security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.

  • Design, develop, and implement specific cybersecurity countermeasures for the IS and Network Environment.

  • Develop interface specifications for the IS and Network Environment.

  • Develop approaches to mitigate IS and Cloud Network Environment vulnerabilities and recommend changes to network or network system components as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, IT, or related technical area preferred or additional 6 years of experience.

  • 2 years of experience in developing secure solutions.

  • 2 years of experience in security policy and emerging cybersecurity technologies.

  • Hold an active Security+ CompTIA certification or equivalent DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification.

  • Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including STIG Viewer, eMASSter, and Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center.

  • Experience with routinely interfacing with senior level customer technical representatives.

  • Experience with cloud brokerages, preferably Navy.

  • Knowledge and experience working with federal compliance and guidance, including FISMA, RMF, Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework, DoDAF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800 series, FedRAMP and cloud-based security controls.

  • Knowledge of technology for implementing security controls, including access control, privileged access management, data security, network security, data loss prevention, Cloud security, vulnerability management, configuration management, privacy, and audits.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

  • Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.

The projected compensation range for this position is $72,100-$120,900. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
