About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will hold a highly influential and senior position within the organization. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and resilience of automotive systems and connected vehicles. You will have a significant impact on the business by defining and implementing robust cybersecurity architectures and strategies, protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical vehicle data and functionality. This position works within the Cybersecurity division or team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive cybersecurity initiatives.


What You Will Do

  • Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity architectures and strategies for automotive systems, adhering to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish security requirements, integrating cybersecurity measures throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Conduct thorough threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis to identify potential security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Define and implement secure communication protocols, access control mechanisms, encryption solutions, and intrusion detection systems within automotive systems.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies, industry regulations, and emerging threats, and provide thought leadership and guidance to address complex challenges.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to your team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the successful execution of cybersecurity projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers, to ensure alignment on cybersecurity requirements, standards, and best practices.

What You Need

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline. Advanced degrees are highly preferred.
  • Extensive expertise in automotive network protocols, ECU communication, software architectures, and cybersecurity technologies and methodologies.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex cybersecurity architectures for automotive systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 21434, SAE J3061, ISO 27001).
  • Strong proficiency in threat modeling, risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability analysis, and security incident response.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex security challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

What is Nice to Have

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in automotive cybersecurity (e.g., Certified Automotive Security Professional).
  • Expertise in secure coding practices and standards, specifically in C and C++ for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive-specific frameworks and standards, such as AUTOSAR.
  • In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies in the automotive industry, such as autonomous vehicles and connected car platforms.

  • Successfully complete a background investigation/Aptitude Test as a condition of employment.
