Overview of the role

We are offering a fantastic internship opportunity to work within Garrison’s Operations department as part of the Information Security team – specifically we are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual looking for hands-on experience within a unique and highly innovative company, and the opportunity to develop within the organisation.

As suppliers of a cybersecurity technology, Information Security is critical to our business and gets close attention from our highly technical company leadership. We have a well-functioning IT team and a complex, sophisticated infrastructure already in place – with close guidance and support from the Information Security Manager, you will get the opportunity to better understand the information security risks faced by businesses and become aware of the techniques used to address them.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and motivated undergrad or high school graduate to contribute to the effective management of Garrison’s information security. The InfoSec function is responsible for managing the availability, confidentiality and integrity of our information assets, as well as ensuring that Garrison maintains certification to ISO 27001, SOC2, and other accreditations rewarded for maintaining high standards in line with our game-changing solution.

 

Skills & experience

  • Keen interest in the cyber security industry, and how organisations maintain their cyber security systems and controls whilst managing risks, maintaining standards and securing certifications.
  • Good computer skills, including a good grasp of the Microsoft Suite
  • Collaborative individual, able to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
  • Pro-active and able to work well independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, proactive, pragmatic, good time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and intellectually curious
