Level 1 SOC Analyst

Athens, Attica, Greece

The Level 1 SOC Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and triaging security-relevant alerts and reports originating from clients’ infrastructure. This includes identifying the type of incident, determining the severity of the attack, and applying incident response measures based on Playbooks. Communicating with client’s security teams and system owners, the Tier 1 Analyst will suggest the appropriate actions for containment and eradication of security incidents, in a timely and accurate fashion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day expertise on proper handling of security events.
  • Respond to and confirm security incidents within the targeted framework.
  • Adhere to documented escalation, process, and communication plans.
  • Communicating objective findings (written and oral) to Level 2 Analysts.
  • Provide technical investigative reports to the management team.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Greek and English language
  • The ability to pick up new technology or concepts very quickly is required.
  • This position requires shift work in a 24/7/365 environment. The capacity to work evening, overnight, and weekend hours is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various teams to explain and elaborate on technical details.
