Cyber Security Engineer, Sr. (Container Hardening)

Title: Cybersecurity Engineer (Container Hardening)
Location: San Antonio, TX 
Clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligibility)

About this role:

• Rackner is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer who will actively manage the system as well as provide continuous monitoring of the live cyber environment.
• Provide superior technical customer service and will assess security vulnerabilities from either a physical or cyber perspective.
• As a technical expert, will plan and and lead major technology initiatives, evaluate performance results and recommend changes for growth and success.
• May also lead other team members by applying a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and critical projects.
• Works with the Pipeline Architect and Software Engineering SMEs to ensure that DoD IA thresholds are met and built into pipeline tooling and configuration.

We are seeking professionals with:

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent
• DoDI 8140 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or greater)
• Hands-on experience in Risk Management Framework(RMF) security assessments
• Demonstrated cybersecurity experience with Linux operating systems
• Experience with Cloud(e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)
• 2+ years experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• XACTA and EMASS experience
• Specific knowledge of NIST RMF 800-53 controls

What will make you successful:

• Ability to demonstrate an advanced understanding in agile and DevSecOps methodologies
• Experienced in software security testing, especially with containerized applications
• Understands physical security threats and countermeasures
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing security into infrastructure, platforms and software
• Experience running red team/blue team security games and analysis
• Solid understanding of live monitoring of cyber environment for potential attacks, vulnerabilities and log analysis
• Developed cybersecurity architecture with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving

Nice to have:

• M.S.; Computer Science or Engineering field 
• Experience hardening Kubernetes and containers a plus
• CISSP 
• Providing technical guidance to junior team members
• Leading a technical team
• Local to San Antonio, TX
