ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Cybersecurity Engineer will perform as a member of a dynamic infrastructure team ensuring the security of Fluence infrastructure. A cybersecurity engineer must have an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies. Cybersecurity engineers are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities Include:
•Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.•Troubleshooting security and network problems.•Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.•Participating in an agile team and tracking day to day activities in Jira.•Evaluating and implementing new and state-of-the-art technology to address challenging customer problems.•Ensuring network security and communicating security vulnerabilities of all severities to affected stakeholders within the product organization.•Identifying opportunities to improve workflow and creating/maintaining supporting documentation.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence? •3+ years of experience in information security. •The candidate will have a B.S. degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Networking, Computer Science, or related technical field. •Solid understanding of OSI layer models.•Experience using the Agile/Scrum methodology.•Ability to work independently with little day to day guidance to achieve targets and goals.•Application security testing/evaluation experience, e.g. web application security testing, source code analysis.•Experience in implementing & maintaining compliance with ISO 27001, NIST-800, NERC-CIP standards.•Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python and/or shell/bash scripting.
