  • Play a key role in driving code and architecture reviews as well as large cross-company privacy reviews of products and features.
  • Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify
    privacy concerns.
  • Work closely with technical and non-technical teams, including Engineering, Product and Legal.
  • Provide product teams with the guidance and best practices to help
    protect user’s privacy and mitigate any risk.
  • Work closely with Security and Privacy leaders to help define goals that are properly aligned to company-wide goals.
  • Define and articulate a
    clear vision for privacy, and influence leaders across all of Facebook to adopt a balanced view of product and privacy goals in overall decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer related occupation. Requires three years of experience in the following:
  • 1. Coding in Python, PHP, Java, or C/C++ including code maintenance and review
  • 2. Building software applications with secure features
  • 3. Communicating technical issues and their implications to other areas of the business
  • 4. Ability to analyze and implement complex systems
  • 5. Experience applying security/privacy preserving technologies, including but not limited to anonymization, encryption, and access management
  • 6. Has an understanding of software engineering best practices such as security/privacy by design as applicable to their role
  • 7. Knowledge of data protection principles and best practices
  • 8. Ability to conduct impact assessments and identify security/privacy risks
  • 9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 10. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 11. Experience in working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
